Parenting Fail: Little White Lies

Every now and then, we might tell Ethan a little white lie. Ok, not that often...only when it counts. Please tell me we aren't the only ones that make this tiny little, itsy-bitsy parenting fail?

Ok, for real. Tell me your thoughts on v-logging. Do you like it? Would you rather just read it? I feel like reading is faster...

Wanna see a v-log again here in the future? Every month? Twice a year? Never?

Team v-logging or team blogging? You tell me.

You won't hurt my feelings if you say no to v-logging. Pinky promise.

The true test would be to find out how many of you left as soon as you saw a video...tell the truth.

  1. I like to do vlogs! I'll watch them if I have time - you did a great job! I like it cuz I can do other things, have other browsers open and still hear what bloggers have to say, that's a nice option. P.S. I can't believe you told your son about monsters! haha...one day that might come back to bite you in the butt!

    1. Thanks so much! It does make for easier multi tasking which is always a plus. I did ponder the fact that it could cause more harm than good, but thankfully we watched Monster's Inc. during that time period and I think that helped. He's not terrified...just wary.

  2. You did a good job! I don't think I could do a vlog...and no shame about telling him there are monsters in the vents :)

    1. Thanks! You should totally do it. It is awkward. I won't lie, but not terrible!

    1. Thanks for your support. I might have to do them every once and awhile. It's a little time consuming to do them all the time.

  4. I have yet to do a vlog but I just recently started adding little videos to my posts. Mostly about product reviews. Stopping by from Bloggy Moms. :)

    1. Yes! Videos could definitely come in handy for product reviews. Every one wants to see the product in action, right?

  5. You're cute ;) We have definitely done the white lie thing here and there. I tend to prefer to read blogs--but an occasional vlog is ok :)

    1. Glad I'm not alone with the white lies....it's exhausting to try and reason with a toddler sometimes and it certainly is an easy, but effective way out of that....right up there with bribery. I'm like you, I prefer to read, but I do like to hear the writers voice and see the personality every now and then. This v-log thing will certainly be an "every now and then" type of thing.

  6. I am too much of chicken to do a vlog :) We all tell little white lies though, it's normal!

    1. You should totally do it! After a couple of takes, the nerves do subside. I always have to do retakes to curtail my rambling. That's why I prefer writing.....no one times your rambling there :)

  7. I LOVE your video!! I wouldn't call your white lie "parenting failure" :) I think you can vlog + write? Do I want too much? hehe

    1. Haha, thank you! I will definitely be doing a combination of both in the future although probably not too many v-logs. I do prefer the writing.

  8. I love this! You are so cute and funny! and witty! Vlogging always is fun to see what people are really like versus whatever made up version I have in my head just from reading.
