I want to remember...
- The way Ethan runs so freely when I take him outside. He spots airplanes, does happy dances and is thoroughly consumed with exploring his little world.
- Ethan is not much on cuddling, but yesterday he asked me to sit on the couch with him while he drank his milk and watched his shows. I put a blanket over us and he snuggled in for a good 30 minutes with his head on my chest. Seriously, I was eating it up. I would have stayed there forever.
- Last week Michael and I were playing with Ethan upstairs and as he ran past me he clearly said "I love mama". He said it in a way that seemed so natural, so unprompted. He just wanted me to know and my heart melted. It was almost his first sentence...he's saying "love Lola" for quite sometime now.
- I love getting fishy kisses through the shower door when Ethan takes big boy showers with his daddy.
- I love getting hugged randomly throughout the day. This is new and very sporadic, but it's so nice he is learning how to express love and to know that he feels it.
Love this. I've been making notes of the things I don't want to forget and was planning a blog post just like this one. :) And random baby hugs are the best!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear I love you!
ReplyDeleteAwww I can't believe he sat with you for 30 mins on the couch and snuggled...those are the moments we really do want to remember forever! So sweet :)
ReplyDeleteAww how sweet! Meyer just recently started saying "wuv wu mom" and I almost start crying every time! These little boys are just too sweet:)
ReplyDeleteThis just melts my heart and makes me anxious for the times to come! My little guy isn't much of a snuggler either, so I too adore any time he puts his head down on my shoulder or cuddles up. You are smart to write these down!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the snuggles! J has NEVER wanted to snuggle until this week and I've squeezed in so much snuggle time because next week he'll be over it :)
ReplyDeleteI feel like each day it is getting harder and harder to capture all of these moments because don't they change SO quickly? I never ever want to forget the way it sounds when she says her quirky little baby words. But, they transform to the "real" word so fast that there's never enough time. I think I should just set up hidden cameras 24/7 in my house so every.single.thing is documented.
