Originally this was titled "Wednesday Catch Up". That should tell you where my heads at today. Wow. Anyways, After doing the Home Organization Notebook series and Ethan's 10 Month post, I feel like I haven't blogged about what's going on around here in our everyday life so I'll try to sum everything up pretty quickly.
Two nights ago my baby woke up screaming in the middle of the night. Turns out he caught his daddy's cold and was scared because he couldn't breathe properly. After half an hour of trying to sing him back to sleep, I caved and we played until 2AM. He finally went back to sleep and was in pretty good humor yesterday considering his nose is like a faucet. Hopefully the humidifier and the saline drops will have him back to normal soon.
I've started sprucing up a new "room": the front of the house. I bought a bench for the front porch on major sale at World Market a few weeks ago. Monday my mom and I recovered the bench seat and I have to say it looks fabulous. I think I'll save the pictures until I'm completely done with the outside which might be a little while considering my project involves painting our severely faded shutters. There's no way I'm doing that in this heat!
Michael and I finally bit the bullet and got a fabulous new computer! We ended up getting a Macbook Pro. I'm hoping it will last us a long, long time! I'm still trying to get use to all the new features, but my favorite one is the speed! Hopefully now I'll be able to be a little more effective around here.
Now that August is here, I'm starting to freak out a little. It's the beginning of the whirlwind. You know the end of the year whirlwind. There's only a couple of more weeks before our family's annual pig roast, then a couple of weeks after that we are leaving to go to Yellowstone, then E's birthday (hold me!), then Halloween, and then.....HOLIDAYS. Yikes! Mini panic attacks have already begun!
I think that's pretty much it for now. I'm off to go start on some b-day projects. I've suddenly realized I've done a lot of buying and planning and not so much executing. Time to start making this party a reality and make sure I'm not getting in too much over my head. Eeeks!
Honestly? I'm pretty sure I'm over my head.....and out of my mind!
