The Pier

My husband and I must be the palest people on the face of this Earth. Even after liberally applying SPF 50 all over our pasty bodies, we somehow managed to get burned.

Don't worry...the baby is fine.

He was also wearing SPF 50 so I don't really know what that says...maybe I should switch to the baby sunscreen instead.

Anyways all that fried skin meant that we were NOT heading out to the beach again yesterday. Instead we visited the pier.

It is an amazingly long pier that was full of fishermen.

These people were catching one huge fish after another. It was really exciting to watch.

Ethan enjoyed watching all the Pelicans dive bombing for fish.

I even pulled a Michael Jackson as I sat him on the edge of the railing so he could have a better view.

We saw about 10 dolphins and I took approximately 9,567,380 pictures trying to get a close up of one with my new 55-250mm zoom lens. This is the best I got...but wow is it close!

We haven't fully recovered of course, but I'm heading back out to the beach and pool today once this little boy gets up from his nap.

You can find me beneath the umbrella...with a cover up...and hat....religiously re-lathering the baby SPF 50.

  2. Jealous of your day under an umbrella! And I've been using baby sunscreen for years....I'm a sucker for how that one in the pink bottle smells!
